Activity: 

1.  Class Examples

In groups of five, you will be assigned one of the appeals from the rhetorical triangle.
With your groups, find five commercials that represent your appeal and relate to some sort of motivational idea.
You should organize your commercials in a visual, similar to the example I showed. 
You should include a link to video with an explanation of how it uses the appeal and why it's effective. 
You will present these to the class. 

2.  Presentations

For each group, add one example to your notes from yesterday.


As you listen to the audio, identify examples of ethos, pathos, and logos.
You will need these for the rhetorical triangle graphic organizer. 
Lastly, identify the purpose.

We will discuss this as a class. 

4.  Creating Rhetoric

We will complete the activity on page 53 of the I Have  a Dream book.  
Follow the instructions in exercise A.
